There was a bit of Rescue Beauty Lounge drama yesterday. It seems like the estate of Georgia O’Keefe has sent a cease and desist letter to RBL in reference to the Georgia on My Mind collection. All traces of Georgia O’Keefe have to be removed from RBL’s marketing, website and social pages (like Facebook), the names of the polishes have to be changed and the polishes cannot be sold after 6 months. I reviewed one of those polishes yesterday and have a few more coming up. It’s too bad we live in this kind of society. RBL business owner Ji Baek thought everything was okay since the artist’s full name was copyrighted, not just her first name, which is what she used. This is a harsh lesson learned. And really too bad, because they are gorgeous polishes. It’s really too bad.
Anyway, on to today’s polish, the second in my RBL swatch series. (Click here for the first series post)
This is Rescue Beauty Lounge Purple Haze, a blue-toned purple creme. The formula is on the thin and draggy side, but manageable. When I say draggy, I mean that it doesn’t spread well. The above is two coats.
I hope you have a good day!
